Counsciously fused with the infinite, Guido Gagliardi emulates the organic moulding the synthetic, mixing apparent chaos with geometrical order, thus realizes functional and perennial moving works of art.
Guido Gagliardi was born in 1972, in Trani, a small town in the south of Italy.
In 1976, Guido moves with his family to Milan where he attends school.
At the Age of 16, Guido begins making eccentric clothing, both from himself and for his friends, obtaining a fairly good amount of success.
Guido finished his studies and moves to Riccione at the age of 19. This is where he applies his stylistic talent into a profession by creating a tailoring workshop, first in his own home and then opening one in the center of the city. In the meantime, he specializes as a fashion designer at the "Istituto Europeo del Design" in Milan. Soon afterwards, his fashion transforms from eccentric to "spectacular", creating even theater costumes for which the accessories are true sculptures.
In 1999, Guido moves to Spain and becomes a costume designer and set designer for various dance clubs.
Since 2005, Guido has been creating furnishing sculptures for private homes with the collaboration of a few Italian and Spanish architects. Sculptures Design
Only in 2007 Giudo decides to create a series of works intended for international galleries.
Today Guido divides his time living in Ibiza, Sydney and Milan where he has his workshop.
The concept that has always been hidden in by spirit is the profound conviction that the greatest painter, sculptor, architect, designer and master of all the past eras and those still to come is universal nature, with all its infinite dimensional aspects. The unlimited organic forms that universal nature gives us attract me so much that everyday I am constantly captured by them, often falling into an hypnotic state of obsessive observation. It would not be possible for me to react differently at the sight of these works of art, astonishing with their never-ending changes, always different from the other and never remaining the same if observed after a period of time or even at the same moment, but from different perspectives. Human beings, who are natural works of art, also intervene with these transformations, often unfortunately with sad results.
Only that being who is able to place himself in perfect balance with the space that surrounds him is capable of interacting with the material, emphasizing the form and, in this way, enhancing the spirit, as long as it is done with harmony, passion and competence.
It is wonderful to know that the faraway universes and our own build a sole complex living organism.
I call it Love
